Transformer dc winding resistance tester (10A type) is a professional instrument for transformer dc winding test, and the tested data is a necessary test item for semi-finished and finished products in transformer manufacturing, including factory testing, installation, overhaul, change of tap changer, handover testing, and preventive testing by the power department. It can check the welding quality of the winding joints and whether there is any inter turn short circuit in the winding. It can also check whether the contact at various positions of the voltage tap changer is good, whether the actual position of the tap changer matches the indicated position, whether the outgoing wire is broken, and whether there are broken strands when multiple wires are wound together.

You can clean the oxide layer on the contact end directly, or twist the test clamp firmly after clamping the sample to break the oxide film physically and ensure good contact.

Q: The instrument supports both AC and DC power with a built-in lithium battery. How to maintain the battery when not in use for a long time?

A: When the instrument is idle for a long time, it is recommended to charge the lithium battery once a month to avoid damage due to over-discharge. Use the supporting power adapter for charging, and stop charging after the battery is fully charged to ensure normal power supply when reused.

Q: What are the necessary steps before removing the test leads after the test, and why?

A: After the test, press the "Stop" key to reset the instrument, confirm no current output and complete discharge, then turn off the power and remove the test leads. If the test leads are removed directly without discharge, the back electromotive force from inductive samples may damage the internal circuit of the instrument and pose safety risks.
